Mrs. Suzanne Sarkesian invited Thomas Marsh and me to appear at her book club which we did last week. Suzanne had asked us to appear even before we had finished writing the book! Encouragement like that was certainly a boost to our enthusiasm and confidence.
When we entered her beautiful home in Beverly Hills, Michigan, the red carpet was rolled out for us. As the other ladies filtered in, we knew that this evening would be fun and relaxing. I knew Thomas Marsh was relaxed as he introduced himself as “Thomas,” but you can call me “Cookie.”
This was our first book signing venture to a book club. It certainly won’t be our last! Thank you to all the beautiful, intelligent ladies that took the time to read our book and then to discuss it in the meaningful way that we had intended it to be read. I think we all took a trip down memory lane that night and became closer as blacks and white.
